Main Entrance
The main entrance to Pett Village Hall is step-free making it easily accessible. To the right are the doors to the disabled toilets with baby changing and also the separate men's and women’s facilities. There is access via double doors to the main hall. To the left is Catharine Hollman room, the kitchen and also the room used for the Doctor’s surgery.
The Main Hall
The main hall makes up most of the Village Hall and is directly in front of you when you enter the foyer. It is currently used by a variety of clubs and meetings and has also hosted wedding receptions and special events.
The hall can be hired separately or together with the Catharine Hollman room for a major event.
The dimensions of the main hall are 17.5m x 9m = 157.5 sq m.
The main hall seats approximately 120 people. Tables and chairs are available. The majority of the tables are 183cm x 69cm.
Catharine Hollman (Meeting Room)
Many clubs and organisations in Pett use this small meeting room, including the Parish Council, the Gardening Club and Pett WI. It holds approximately 50 people comfortably and can be arranged with a top table and audience-style seating or use can be made of the small tables available, with 4 to 6 seated at each. The room also has a drop-down screen, which is ideal for presentations, and a hatch to the kitchen makes the delivery of refreshments straightforward.
The dimensions of the Catherine Hollman room are 4.3m x 9m.
The room can be hired separately or together with the main hall for a major event.
The Kitchen
The Village Hall also includes a large, well-equipped kitchen, which incorporates serving hatches onto both the main hall and the Catharine Hollman room.
There is a dual fuel cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and tea/coffee maker available to hirers. The kitchen also has basic serving equipment and a constant supply of hot water.
Hirers are always advised to check before their event to ensure the kitchen and its equipment meet their needs.
Children’s play area/picnic area
At the back of the Village Hall, there is a children’s play area. This includes a climbing frame with a slide alongside a picnic area with benches. The area overlooks the fields and woods at the back of the hall. Supervision should be in place at all times.
There is also a children’s play area for children up to 12 years of age on the recreation ground. This includes a multi-play toddler unit. climbing rope crows nest, youth and baby swings, balance log and more. Alongside there is a skate ramp and multi-play area for young people including a basketball hoop. Picnic benches are also available on site.
